Most of us get dehydrated in summer during the day. What I see to most of the people, buying cold soft-drinks rather water if they are getting thirsty. I am one of the person who really drinks lots of water during the “summer” specially which helps the body from dehydration. But if the people are drinking soft drinks such as coke, pepsi and etc, they are causing themselves into risk of their health.

Try to drink too much water in summer and always keep a natural water in your hands.

From May – September is summer and the hot season in Kuwait. The weather in Kuwait from 40 – 55 degrees daily, which the human cannot stay under this temperature in the morning. I am really sorry to see these workers working the morning under a hot temperature, which any human cannot life with out water and air conditioning.

I really hope to see a policy and terms in from the country for these workers for changing the working hours from morning to afternoon and night. This policy to help them because they are also humans same as anyone.

I hope this could be solved as Ramadan is coming in mid of summer.

We are in mid of June under 40-50 Celsius everyday in Kuwait. Before several weeks ago there was an announcement from an society in Kuwait that our drinking water is not safe to drink.

At this time till now I see these hundreds of different natural water offers in the Co-ops. I was really disappointed of humans taking tens of these bottles of water with promotional prices.

In my point of view, what I am seeing is all companies are investing out of these announcements. The Ministry of Electrcity and Water has announced today that all the drinking water in Kuwait are SAFE to drink and use. Also every accommodation has its own filter system, which filters the drinking water clearly.

I hope everyone could use the country water which is free and safe to use.

Today afternoon, we were invited to TacoBell’s new opening branch in Shaab Park (next to Sultan Centre). From top of my mind, this is the second time I taste Taco Bell in Kuwait.

Ms.Bibi has invited us to taste the new menu called” Volcano”. Volcano is combined into three meals such as volcano taco, nachos and burrito. The three meals taste delicious and mostly suitable for “Spicy” lovers. I am one dislike spicy in my meals, but I recommend for anyone to taste volcano taco and nachos which I liked mostly.

You can reach TacoBell:

  • The Avenues
  • Shaab Park
  • Coming Soon: Kaifan

Hope you could taste, the new meals and give us your feedback.

Thank you again to Ms.Bibi.

As I am in social media and online business major, what I am seeing Kuwait “specially” individuals and companies are not following Facebook Promotional Guidelines. Most of the companies and small businesses are promoting there page by competitions, voting and etc. Although what I am seeing in most of the big organizations in Kuwait are announcing the winners of the competitions by wall which is one of the illegal promotional guidelines in Facebook.

I hope everyone in the social media departments could read these guidelines and follow them carefully:

If you use Facebook to communicate about or administer a promotion, you are responsible for the lawful operation of that promotion, including the official rules, offer terms and eligibility requirements (e.g., age and residency restrictions), and compliance with regulations governing the promotion and all prizes offered in connection with the promotion (e.g., registration and obtaining necessary regulatory approvals).  Please note that compliance with these Guidelines does not constitute the lawfulness of a promotion.  Promotions are subject to many regulations and if you are not certain that your promotion complies with applicable law, please consult with an expert.

  1. Promotions on Facebook must be administered within Apps on Facebook.com, either on a Canvas Page or an app on a Page Tab.
  2. Promotions on Facebook must include the following:
    a. A complete release of Facebook by each entrant or participant.
    b. Acknowledgment that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
    c. Disclosure that the participant is providing information to [disclose recipient(s) of information] and not to Facebook.
  3. You must not use Facebook features or functionality as a promotion’s registration or entry mechanism.  For example, the act of liking a Page or checking in to a Place cannot automatically register or enter a promotion participant.
  4. You must not condition registration or entry upon the user taking any action using any Facebook features or functionality other than liking a Page, checking in to a Place, or connecting to your app.  For example, you must not condition registration or entry upon the user liking a Wall post, or commenting or uploading a photo on a Wall.
  5. You must not use Facebook features or functionality, such as the Like button, as a voting mechanism for a promotion.
  6. You must not notify winners through Facebook, such as through Facebook messages, chat, or posts on profiles or Pages.
  7. You may not use Facebook’s name, trademarks, trade names, copyrights, or any other intellectual property in connection with a promotion or mention Facebook in the rules or materials relating to the promotion, except as needed to fulfill your obligations under Section 2.
  8. Definitions:
    a. By “administration” we mean the operation of any element of the promotion, such as collecting entries, conducting a drawing, judging entries, or notifying winners.
    b. By “communication” we mean promoting, advertising or referencing a promotion in any way on Facebook, e.g., in ads, on a Page, or in a Wall post.
    c. By “contest” or “competition” we mean a promotion that includes a prize of monetary value and a winner determined on the basis of skill (i.e., through judging based on specific criteria).
    d. By “sweepstakes” we mean a promotion that includes a prize of monetary value and a winner selected on the basis of chance.
