We were invited to illy cafe bloggers event. illy coffee and products is highly known around the world. At Espressamente illy Cafe their menu is a combined of Coffee, Sandwiches, Desserts, Salads and more. The Grand Avenues Cafe design is created with a creative atmosphere design.

I started to go in a weekly bases in last two months to Espressamente illy Cafe at AlHamra Tower as it’s closest to me. What I recommend you to order when you are at illy cafe are Truo Coffee, illy’s Tiramisù and their Beef Steak Sandwich. I rate Espressamente illy Cafe 09/10.

Kuwait Cancer Control Center

KuwaitCancerControlCenterThe #1 tool to fighting cancer is awareness.  Awareness leads to early detection. Early detection leads to prevention. But above all the most important thing is to be informed and educated on the subject so we can fight the battle together.

The University Health Network signed an agreement with the Ministry Of Health in the State of Kuwait in September 8, 2010, to provide clinical expertise to Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) and strengthen cancer service delivery at the KCCC by focusing on areas such as radiation medicine, medical oncology, surgical oncology and laboratory medicine. The University Health Network is a teaching and academic health science center and one of the largest medical research centers in Canada.

UHN and KCCC have sat down together and have launched the first portal related to cancer care in Kuwait.  It will serve as a educational tool and informative platform to help educate patients and their families about the cancer journey as well as ways to:

  • Inform about the public about the latest news related to the center
  • Provide department details and initiatives
  • Offer important facts about the population in Kuwait related to cancer prevention, care and treatment
  • Find out about patient and cancer support services
  • Find out ways you can help/volunteer

The best part about this is that this is the first time information like this is available in Kuwait in Arabic and English.

FerrariStoreKuwaitBy the end last year 2012, we’ve posted about Ferrari Store Opening Soon At The Avenues. Ferrari Store Kuwait is currently opened at The Avenues – Soku Phase 3. The store is big and covers a Ferrari Race car placed at the entrance. Plus kids, women and men fashion cloths/accessories. I went quickly inside the store and checked their items and prices. Well they seems absolutely same prices and items as Ferrari Store in Dubai.

CATB15I was reading some mobile blogs online about the new CaterPillar B15 Smart Phone. CAT B15 is the strongest smart-phone made of tough stuff materials with an anti scratches, waterproof and dust.  It runs with Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS with additional features.

The device is made for construction workers and from what the users reviews and feedback the devices seems useless. Cat B15 is available at Amazon.com with a cost of £289.27 (around 170 KD).

TempurProductsSeven months ago, I bought Tempur Pillow as recommended by Kuwaitiful. I tested the pillow for two days and I got used it the pillow. I even cannot sleep without my Tempur pillow. Truthfully the pillow 100% comfortable and you always want to carry it with you.

Yesterday I was at AlHamra Tower, and I passed to Tempur Retail Store to see what’s new. What you see is I left the store carrying with me Tempur leg spacer and travel pillow. The comment I have to say is Tempur Products in Kuwait really experience compared to Europe and United States.

Fast & Furious is an action racing car movie and the most popular known movie in the world. Fast & Furious 6 is now showing on screens in Kuwait.

GrandCinemasTicketI really got a different attitude than other people maybe. I usually love to go to cinema to watch movie alone because most of the time if you go with friends/family they distract you and if you take a talky person with you, you’ll never watch the movie probably.

Therefore, I booked myself a ticket to watch Fast & Furious 6 at Grand Cinemas – Grand Class (VIP Screens). The hall was almost full, I entered the lobby and ordered some popcorns. Around 5pm, we were welcome to our seats. Our order were served to us, with some soft-drinks and provided some blankets to enjoy the movie.

Fast & Furious6What can I see in the being is absolutely action movie. The sixth series is probably much better and good than the other series. I really loved the series scenes when they are in London. The most actor I loved this in movie series is The Rock (Dwayne Johnson).

I don’t want to mention all the scenes, but it really worth to go and watch the movie. But highly recommend you to book it at VIP screens, best wayt to enjoy the movie.

Review: Ruby Tuesday Kuwait

RubyTuesdayKuwaitOn Sunday, we were invited to Ruby Tuesday Kuwait City Branch to review the new changes. Ruby Tuesday is reinvesting by changing some of their menu dishes, atmosphere, services and the food quality. During the gathering review event, we met Mr.Bill Robinson (Ruby Tuesday’s Vice President). He’s really a nice man, by explaining and hearing our comments for every dish.

From this gathering event, I learn’t now how Ruby Tuesday established in United States and what are their main mission as a restaurant. Currently, Ruby Tuesday also changed to a chef to rebuild more to their menu.

RubyTuesdayChickenIf you are a Ruby Tuesday lover, you will lover more now upon the additional changes on their dishes. We started with some appetizers (New Baja Chicken Quesadilla and Shrimp Fondue). Additionally, we moved then to the Menu Dishes (Mix of Grill Chicken, Steakhouse Steaks, Ribs and Pasta). Now I can see Ruby Tuesday made difference with the quality of the food. The Ribs is now changed and tasted much better, and it is really easy more for me to eat ribs with one cut-off. The Grill Chicken is also tasty and delicious by adding some extra ingredients to it.

Ruby Tuesday is also serving Garden Fresh Salads in the restaurant or for take away. Shisha area is also back again in Ruby Tuesday Sharq branch with a perfect location of the sea side.

By ending the review, I can really see a difference with changes of the food, ingredients and dishes. I rate Ruby Tuesday now 08/10.

Summer Fruit Watermelon

WatermelonHello Summer was my summer impression post recently. It’s really hard to live summer in Kuwait without air-conditioning, water and cold drinks. Watermelon is the best sweet fruit to have in summer. You either can have it as a juice or by cutting it piece by piece. What I usually do, place the total watermelon inside the fridge and cut it as a large slice with the peel.

SummerKuwaitPeople wait for winter to come, to enjoy having BBQ. Although, adult/kids wait for summer to come to enjoy the beach. After a busy week, I packed up my things and drove down west to our chalet in Kharian with my nieces and nephews. Swimming, playing with kids and relaxing is most wonderful thing to do in summer with a clean beach and water. There are lots of things to do in summer, so don’t hesitate yourself to alway thing to take break and relax down.
