Things To Do In Washington DC

November 15th, 2014 | Posted by Khalil in Others | Personal | Reviews | Travel | World Life - (0 Comments)

TheWhiteHouseWashington DC is United States of America Capital State. DC formally known as the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington, “the District”. I stayed a month in Washington DC and Virginia the state next to DC. I almost visited every part of DC. There are no much to do except museums, cafes and restaurants. The weather is almost wonderful. I liked the people, weather, atmosphere and culture.

madame tussaudsMadame tussauds – Washington DC brand, is the first museum I visited. Madame Tussaud’s is a wax museum founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was formerly known as “Madame Tussaud’s”; the apostrophe is no longer used. I actually, disliked the museum it doesn’t worth to pay $45 for a small museum, were every character is closed and have to pay money to take some photos.

GeorgeTownGeorge Town Market is the only popular market in Washington DC you can find luxury brands and stores in this street.

WashingtonDCChinaTownChina Town is a rush place in Washington DC. You can find china stores, restaurants, cinema and more.

I stayed one month in DC and suffered from finding Halal Restaurants/food. Virginia got many halal food stores, but I need a long journey to reach there. However, it was a lovely trip to Washington DC and I already missed DC.

Hello Kuwait!

November 15th, 2014 | Posted by Khalil in Announcement | News | Others | Personal - (0 Comments)

PlaneQ8PathWoW, it was a long trip. Finally I’m back in Kuwait. I really got lots of posts to be posted on our blog and I actually need some time to be able to cover all my topics.

GoogleXPillGoogle announced their new innovation project Google X Nano Pill. This pill identifies if this person got cancer or any other diseases. Still this is under experimental stage. The pill is packed with tiny magnetic particles, which travel through a patient’s bloodstream, search for malignant cells and report their findings to a sensor on a wearable device. What I think is Google is moving to a great path.

NewYorkJust few weeks left till I return back home. I’m still in WashingtonDC, so I thought to enjoy my weekend in New York City. This is my first visit to NYC Times Square. I booked a three hours train from DC To NYC via Amtrak Rail Transportation. Actually, the train cost cheaper and faster ($280) per person.

New York is a wonderful city, but it is so busy compared to WashingtonDC. I disliked the environment in times square, but liked the activities and entertainments. Still I haven’t been to many places, but I have to get back again to NYC in future.

iPhone6Three weeks ago, I ordered through Apple Store brand new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2. Suddenly, my iPhone 6 device received early and still waiting for rest. I’m willing to review my devices soon. This iPhone 6 – 128GB cost $849 around 245KD. Otherwise in Kuwait the 16GB iPhone cost 225KD were only 20KD difference between 16GB and 128GB iPhone.

Life After Marriage

October 22nd, 2014 | Posted by Khalil in Information | Others | Personal - (2 Comments)

KuwaitWeddingAlmost one month went from my wedding. Life after marriage is really different from my life before marriage. Of course it’s life of happiness, but I missed my life when I travel, eat and do things alone. But after marriage life, kept me away for a while from my community, family and friends. Moreover, it is a hard challenge to live a new life, but I actually getting use to it.

MobileCameraMobile phones are the most devices we use every minute. Most people use their mobile to capture photos, record a video or shot #selfie photo to share them up on social media. However, their are major features you need to focus on, to own your best mobile phone with high resolution camera.

You have to find:

  1. High mega-pixel camera such as (12MP+)
  2. HD Number (1080p)
  3. Camera Display
  4. Additional Features (Slowmotion, time-lapse and etc.)

Apple, Samsung and LG Smart-phones are the most popular brands known that got high resolution cameras. Always check for the specifications before purchasing any of the smart-phones.

ICFJI shared about My Location: Washington DC last week. I’m still in Washington DC for one month participating in Profellows exchange program and internship, organised by United States Department of State and managed by International Center For Journalist (ICFJ). This program is about “Unlocking the Economic Potential of Digital Media” were we are hired in different digital media firms all around the states, to observe the way of how this firm operate. We are 15 candidate in this program and I’m only the person from Kuwait.

Dan and Sameen the program officers are the people which I’m in contact with. I really loved the way they cooperate with us and help us to any issue we face in this program. I’m directed to work with GVHLIVE Digital Media Company for a month to observe their way they operate in United States.

Finally, I’m really happy to work the program group and I believe I will generate more knowledge from this program.

iPadAir2Apple just announced three new amazing updates in their October 2014 Special Event. iPad Air 2 is one of the devices announced. With iPad Air 2 it’s thinner and well displayed with 2048×1536 resolution.

OS XYosemiteOS X Yosemite is the newest operating system Apple announced today. The interface is completely redesigned. In OS X Yosemite, s you can use to surf the web, read your mail, send messages, and organize your files and content have a simpler, more elegant look, and we’ve enhanced them with powerful new features.

What I think Apple is absolutely done great with developing amazing functionality. iPad Air 2 is completely own great features, look and touches which I believe it is an opportunity to change my iPad to a new one.

NationalAssemblyKuwaitLogoKuwait National Assembly changed their logo this week. Last March, they announced to the public about their competition for anyone interested to submit on logo designs and the committee could choose one of the best logos. However, as a graphic designer point of view, I don’t think this is really attractive or interested logo to use in the government sector. I thought the last old logo is much better and elegant to use.

sixsenseszighybaySix Senses Zighy Bay got really popular this year. Last month, I had a chance to stay in Six Senses Zighy Bay resort for short period. I done my reservations through Six Senses reservation department. To reach Zighy Bay, I booked a transportation service from Six Senses, that took me from Dubai Int. Airport. It is a long 2hrs drive from Dubai to Oman border reaching Six Senses Zighy Bay. But that really worth it.

I was welcomed from the reception, checked-in and walked down to my lovely villa. Six Senses Zighy Bay offers different types of villas, but what I booked is a private swimming pool villa with sea view.

The place is really fabulous. As well as their services, I loved the way they help us with our wants. On the second day, I waked up with flu and called them for assistant. They cooperated with me till I felt well.

At the end, I loved this place and I wish I could stay more than three days. I am planning to be there in mid of March next year.
