In Kuwait most of the young marriage adults has issues before and after marriage. These issues are mainly from the women side. I’m still young and haven’t got married yet. But I will try to get engagement soon.

These days mens are enforcing too much terms from the Kuwaiti women before even get married. These terms got to be:

• Need a driver
• Need home maid
• Need chef
• Need home or apartment, not your family house
• Need a car
• I don’t need to work anymore
• Spend and buy from your personal income
• Our vacations in Europe and United States
• Do you work?
• Do you have companies/businesses?
• How is your financial income?
• What is your qualification?

I was really disappointed when one of my friends in the diwaniya had spoken to us, about his experience before getting engagement. I think most of the people in Kuwait had experienced it in this generation specially. The women require everything before getting married and have to be done. Well from the expectations, I think these days high divorce in Kuwait are just from special small things.

Of course not every men can provide these things in before marriage or even if he’s in the college/university with simple income. As well, the prices these days are really experience such as the accommodations rent, furniture, weddings, cars, maid salaries and more. So I think every man have to budget over 10,000KD before marriage.

Finally, there should be some understanding before and after marriage. Wish the luck for everyone.
