Kuwait and the degradation
Posted by in Kuwait Life
Kuwait, is an independent, democratic “somewhat” country, with more than 3 million people, 1 million or less are Kuwaitis, and Possiby less. Kuwait emerged in several aspects, form,s and developments, making it grow from mud to cement. In previous years, before the Millennium, Kuwait was one of the best Gulf countries in all aspects, whether educational, health, political, economic, sports, and even intellectually. The best writers, the most prominent political analysts, economists and critics and even artists, emerged in the seventies, eighties and nineties. Other neighboring countries, did had the fame or reputation of Kuwait, the most prominent evidence of this, is when I heard a commentator on a documentary about the Gulf which has been produced in the nineties, he only mentioned Kuwaitand Dammam, no one else, in terms of development and prosperity.
Kuwait, thankfully, has proven it self in the previous years of the Millennium of keeping up in all new usefull developments, and then enter the second millennium, Kuwait tried hard to keep pace with the rapid developments that swept the world, but!! Some attempts have failed and secceeded, the failed attempts was mostly governmental, successful attempts, however, went to the private sector. Private health schemes gives better results, educational, sporting, economic, services, and even entertainment. Most government buildings built in the nineties was purchased by an owners of a business or real estte, but was built better, hence, they benefit better, is it because the private sector seeks higher income, so they spend more? Or is it because the government is not interested in the best?
After the Iraqi invasion, many demolished, but not yet re-built, why?
Skyscrapers are built in one year, but the rehabilitation of a bridge takes 20 years, and still not rehabilitated yet. It’s not used by anyone other than foreign armies. Kuwait, unfortunately, has all the physical, material, and moral potential, to create things that no one can create anywhere, but the personal interests and political conflicts that have become the main issue for everyone who have power inKuwait, stripped us of every right in enjoying Kuwait. Other than rehabilitation issue, there’s the neglect of maintenance, each new building was opened, everyone is pleased with the capabilities and developments in it, but after several years of neglect and lack of maintenance, this place becomes a “dustbin” which cannot be used .. ”Why?”
And also places that are no longer valid for use, some of the buildings on the roads had been demolished, but has not been cleaned from demolition, Why?. Some places that are no longer valid to use is still there and combat all the climatic conditions experienced by Kuwait, Why?
If at least they remove these “dustbins” instead of being a hotbed of reptiles, bugs, and unknown bad people. Kuwait had previously been characterized in everything but now we excel in degradation and political conflict, which showed some signs of disappearance, but may return at any moment because it has become like a fire waiting for more wood.
“The Municipal is bieng a hero by removing the ruins of people, which I supporter, but at least try to remove your own demolishes” Despite the personal interests that everyone is running for, this is still OUR BELOVED KUWAIT.
