NewYorkJust few weeks left till I return back home. I’m still in WashingtonDC, so I thought to enjoy my weekend in New York City. This is my first visit to NYC Times Square. I booked a three hours train from DC To NYC via Amtrak Rail Transportation. Actually, the train cost cheaper and faster ($280) per person.

New York is a wonderful city, but it is so busy compared to WashingtonDC. I disliked the environment in times square, but liked the activities and entertainments. Still I haven’t been to many places, but I have to get back again to NYC in future.

sixsenseszighybaySix Senses Zighy Bay got really popular this year. Last month, I had a chance to stay in Six Senses Zighy Bay resort for short period. I done my reservations through Six Senses reservation department. To reach Zighy Bay, I booked a transportation service from Six Senses, that took me from Dubai Int. Airport. It is a long 2hrs drive from Dubai to Oman border reaching Six Senses Zighy Bay. But that really worth it.

I was welcomed from the reception, checked-in and walked down to my lovely villa. Six Senses Zighy Bay offers different types of villas, but what I booked is a private swimming pool villa with sea view.

The place is really fabulous. As well as their services, I loved the way they help us with our wants. On the second day, I waked up with flu and called them for assistant. They cooperated with me till I felt well.

At the end, I loved this place and I wish I could stay more than three days. I am planning to be there in mid of March next year.

DubaiSafariWeeks ago, I was in Dubai for a vacation. I had an amazing experience in Dubai Safari Desert. Around 3pm, one of the safari drivers picked us from our hotel and drove us down to South Dubai towards the desert. I haven’t experience this before, but it was amazing. It is a safe 30 minutes safari ride. I actually enjoyed the ride, but at the end I felt bit dizzy and buzzy. Which is normal, but I sat down for 10 minutes and drinking cold water to get back normal.

Information are all included in Dubai Desert Safari [website].

DCCurrently, I’m in United States – Washington DC joining a digital program as a professional fellows organised by the US Department of State and ICFJ.  I got some large content posts which I would like to share up soon.

FairmontThePalmHotelFairmont The Palm Hotel & Resort is one of my best hotels in Dubai. If you are going for swimming and chilling next to the beach. I recommend you to stay at Fairmont The Palm Hotel.

DubaiPalmBeachDuring my recent Summer Vacation I booked my room at Fairmont The Palm Hotel & Resort. What I liked from this hotel are hospitality services, location, beach, swimming pool, beach view, lobby, hotel atmosphere, rooms and the royal services.

However, their are things I disliked such as the WiFi Internet Services should be FREE and not paid service. As well, they should add extra services for families, children and businessmen.

FalafelBurgerIn the first night, I sat in the hotel lobby and saw their dinner menu. So I chose this FalaFel Burger it was really delicious and tasty. I really loved their food, meals and buffet.

Finally, Fairmont The Palm Hotel & Resort will be your best choice if you are going for the beach, swimming or family trip.

RealMadridCafeDubaiI done different exciting activities during my recent visit Summer Vacation in Dubai. One night I went for a walk to Dubai JBR (Jumeirah Beach Residence). I saw different new restaurants and stores opened in JBR. Real Madrid Cafe Dubai is one of the cafes impressed me.

RealMadridDubaiThe cafe got a mini Real Madrid store were you can find the team uniform, accessories and items. As well you can take your own photo, plus watch the photo gallery and get more details about the team. The first floor of the cafe got huge sitting area to eat, drink coffee or have some desserts. I loved the store and cafe idea, which I recommend for Real Madrid fans to have a look one day.

American Visa (XL)From what I received. Their are major delays in issuing United States Visa. This message/updates which I received from the embassy yesterday. If you applied for a visa at United States Embassy in Kuwait. Please read the press release below:

The United States Embassy in Kuwait regrets to note that we are experiencing a delay in visa processing due to a technical issue affecting U.S. consular activities around the world.  We apologize for the inconvenience that the current worldwide technical delay is causing for those planning travel at this time.  Our staff is doing everything possible to complete visa processing for those who have already applied for a visa, and will continue to interview and begin processing for anyone who has an appointment scheduled.

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs announced on July 25 that it was experiencing a worldwide slowdown in visa and passport processing.  The most recent update from the Department of State’s Consular Affairs Bureau is as follows:  As of July 26, the Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is still experiencing technical problems with our visa system. We are operating at a significantly reduced capacity and will be until we clear the document backlog. This issue is worldwide and is not specific to any particular country or visa category. We are working urgently to correct the problem and expect our system to be fully operational again soon. We will continue to post updates to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available.

You will be able to find updates on the worldwide situation at http://travel.state.gov.  You can look for additional updates on the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait’s webpage, http://kuwait.usembassy.gov/.  You can find information on how to apply for a visa, check the status of your visa, or contact the consular section via e-mail on that site.

If you have recently interviewed for a U.S. visa and your application is being processed, rest assured that we will print visas as soon as the system is restored.  If you need to regain possession of your passport before processing is complete, please email consularkuwaitm@state.gov with your name, date of birth, application barcode number, and phone number. When normal processing has been completed, you will be notified by Aramex to arrange delivery of your passport.  If your application is receiving urgent processing, you will be contacted by a representative of the Consular Section to retrieve your passport from the Embassy.

TraveliOSYou have to be aware from different options in your iPhone during your travel:

  1. Use the settings app to setup your iPhone
  2. Switch on the flight mode feature during your flight. Then switch off the flight mode feature when you arrive at your end destination.
  3. Go to cellular, then switch on the data roaming if you would like to use the internet data from the Kuwaiti line. Otherwise, switch off the cellular data feature just in case to keep the internet off during your stay and not keeping your bill over charged.
  4. Always find a new SIM card from any local telecommunication companies to use the internet or find the nearest Free WiFi.
