GUSTCarvial2013Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST) organizes their annual carnival this year, during the period (16-17 April 2013). This is the third annual carnival by GUST that we’ve attended and the recent one was CAPS ON GUST.

Yesterday night, I went to GUST around 7pm to take a tour at the carnival. The most reckless thing is at the entrance there are group of people that charges 2KD per person for entering the carnival. Well I don’t look it effective, but the people who booked the booth wants customers to come and what I saw is number of cars are returning back and not welling to pay for a small carnival.

Therefore, I paid 2 KD ticket to get inside the carnival. It was fully organized and professionally presented. But nearly almost of the booths are food sellers (cup cakes, cakes, burgers, drinks, and more). What I have done is a quick two tours around the carnival and left out. What’s really interesting was the competitions and stage activities.

I visit their centre in Kuwait City and the most thing that I disliked is the location of the institute. It’s located in a place that has small capacity of parking spots and the building looks quite (no one inside) as the building is brand new.

Twitter

Social media is network most of the societies are focusing on to insure security, privacy and auditing. Specially here in Kuwait people started to get concerned for spreading a negative or unauthorized content through Twitter. Everyone in Twitter has it own way of tweeting by providing quotes, tips, news, content, recommendations and more. But Tweeting in a positive and the right way is the act of the people or the account owner.

There is one case happened with one of my family members. He tweeted and captured a photo of his college, shows the way of bad students administration services. After two days, he received a message from the college to suspend him for one week out of college and marked as a high warning on his file. So does the college has the authority to do that?.  Not every negative tweet can end to courts.

20KDForExam

Education became a business and commercial now. As one of the private colleges locally, informed there students to pay 20KD to review their final exam paper per unit. Unfortunately, this strategy from the college changed to commercial and getting profit from students which already paying thousands for better educational services. Well,I don’t know why the Ministry here cannot move to solve the issues and prices of the colleges/universities in Kuwait.

CarColour

Probably most of the people got in this situation for thinking days after days for what car colour to choose during ordering a new car. I had some research philosophy of the way choosing your car colour.

Most of the researches shows the best colour to choose your car is one of the colour you don’t like. Such as if you like blue colour, and your home/bed room colours is blue and your car is blue. This could build quick dislike of the colour which can leed to sell your car quick and disliking to use it any more because you are seeing the colour everyday.

The best situation to be taken is to keep thinking for the advantage. White or black car colour would be the right action to be taken.
