Still there are no supervisors in Kuwait to take action for expatriates not following the legal rules of the country. Here is the story, Egyptian guy sells this medicines to the public by visiting the gyms and fitness area. This guy sells hormones steroids and injections to the body builders, when he gets its for 2KD only from the Ministry and resell it back 70KD.

As you know in Europe and States, steroids cannot be used for any person if he’s controlled by a consultant or doctor. This guy was founded in Farwaniya by one of my friends reselling his medicines at one of the gyms. He usually goes for a tour around to look for a buyer.

So to who this concern? Is the Ministry or the seller or the buyer?

From the last statistics of the year 2011, Kuwait population reached [2,818,042 million] people in Kuwait. As I’ve heard at Kuwait reached 3 million people, with [1,300,000 million] Kuwaiti’s and [2,700,000 million] expatriates. We’re Kuwaiti’s are just around 40% of the total population.

As everyone need Kuwait to be built successfully for now and future. Which we are facing lots of issues with large population in Kuwait such as:

  • Jammed traffics daily
  • No beds in hospitals
  • Health
  • Education
  • Security
  • Small Airport
  • Empty lands
  • Accommodations
  • High Prices

All of these issues we are facing currently of the large population, as Kuwait expected to reach 5 million by 2020. So does the current issues will be solved? If not we will be in really high reach of future planning.

One of the old Kuwait City AlSawaber Apartments Buildings we’re under fire. This is the second building got burned, as in 2010 the same story of AL-Sawaber Fire occurred this time.

These buildings were built since 1980′s and they are not under maintenance till now. As most of the apartments are bought and rented to expatriates. So I really hope the government can take an action to destroy these old buildings and construct another new towers to insure people lives in a safe environment.

Check Meenakon Blog post covered photos and videos when the fire started.

In Kuwait there are lots of small businesses and entrepreneurs are finding how to book their local domain .com.kw online. However, to book your domain .com.kw it goes by different process and takes around 2-3 weeks to get it booked and online.

The registration procedure goes through Kuwait Institute For Scientific Research.

Here what you should do:

  1. Visit http://www.kw – to check if the domain is booked or not
  2. Book your server or hosting at any company – Make sure the IP & DNS details are ready
  3. Fill up the application form
  4. Find any authorized ISP companies in Kuwait
  5. Required Documents:
    1. Individuals:
      1. An official signed and stamped company letter from the company manager requesting the domain name operation.
      2. A valid certificate from Ministry of Commerce with a clear expiry date. (This paper is needed for new registration and renewal operations)
    2. Companies:
      1. A copy from the applicant civil id.
      2. A brief hand written paragraph indicating the individual intent to register the subject domain name.

Es’al Emjarib is the first Kuwaiti rating application dedicated to offering you insight on the services sector in Kuwait, including telecom, banking, gyms, restaurants, and more.

I’ve downloaded it from the AppStore and really liked the idea giving the opportunity for the customers/consumers to give their feedback/review of local businesses. Eid AlAdha is coming up by end of this week. As from our religion, tradition and culture we give out meats to the poor people in Eid AlAdha. However, as the Eid coming up the prices are increasing too much till the Eid period.

As AlWatan Newspaper released yesterday, the consumers are facing really hard time to buy one sheep for Eid AlAdha. It is really extremely unbeleivable prices for a person to buy one sheep. Really the Ministry of Commerce should stop the businesses selling on these prices, as there should be a regulation of fix prices specially when the demands comes.

At the newspaper press above Kuwaiti Sheep costs [110-145KD] as in the normal days it costs [40-60KD]. Businessmen and companies are enforced to place these prices to gain profit, but it will be really worse for the consumer to buy.

Last Thursday I was in Dubai attending the last day of Gitex 2012 Technological Expo. I attend Gitex once since 2007 and this was my second time to Gitex. There is a huge difference with the services, organizing team, structure of the expo, activities, facilities and more. Gitex 2012 made extremely professionally in regarding the presentation for the guests whether its individuals or businesses. Additionally, I even haven’t finished visiting all of the halls, as Gitex venue has covers 9 large halls in Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

First of all, I signed by before two weeks ago and paid online to get a pass to Gitex, which cost around 14KD per person and of course it has to be a guest from any relevant businesses/companies.

Gitex 2012 covered almost everything in technology, electronics, gadgets, mobiles, apps and more. Also the most thing I loved is the seminars and workshops which every company organized in Gitex.

However, most of the large companies worldwide has participated in Gitex this year such as Samsung, Norton, Oracle, Intel, STC, HP, Dell, Toshiba and etc.

After I’ve completed quarter of Gitex, I planned to attend an hour seminar with STC about Mobiles & Apps Ecosystem. As each of the large firms organizes daily activities, seminars and workshops for the guests which is really a wonderful idea of training principles to the guests. Even more, I’ve attended couple of seminars with Norton, Samsung and etc.

Technology is a subject that gets high trends daily in the earth. Especially the items that are related to the Internet, social media, electronics, mobiles, computers and such gadgets. As the world now celebrates with reaching a SDHC Memory Card with 64GB which is really amazing with the size and capacity. This is how people believe in the change of the technology world.

Finally, I really enjoyed the trip to Dubai specially had a chance to life whole day in Gitex, even though I haven’t seen every single part in Gitex with the limited time.

From now I see “HELLO WORLD”

NBK Rumithiya branch is the branch which I usually visit to as its near to where I live. This is the second case/story that happened with one of my family members. This a real story case which happened with my cousin [M.B] wife. She visited NBK Rumithiya Branch before two weeks ago on Tuesday morning to withdraw a big amount from the bank.

Well, she took the money out of the bank to get inside the car to go back home. When she started the engine of the car, a man got inside her car in the second row of the car. She got threaten by the thief and stole her money, wallet, bag and her items. She also got hurt by damaging her face and body with a sharp material by his hand. She slept in the hospital for three days and currently back normal with stress.

Truthfully, this is the second case I’ve heard that happened in the same location specially in the morning and noon time. Also I’ve posted before Caution: For anyone who lives in Rumthiya!.

So, I really wish everyone to be safe and always get someone with you during visiting the banks. I wish the ministry of interior can create a strategic plan to help  and support us. Also, for the bank to make sure that everyone who’s waiting in the lobby have something to do and not just spying around.
