Prince Alwaleed bin Talal announced today that he’s purchased an approximately 3-percent stake in social media site Twitterfor $300 million. Alwaleed is one of the wealthiest men in the world and his interest in Twitter could mean even bigger things for the site in the future. In August, Twitter raised $800 million from private investors and was valued at $8.4 billion. Alwaleed’s stake could value the company at more than $10 billion now.

The Twitter stake, bought jointly by Alwaleed and his Kingdom Holding Co investment firm, resulted from “months of negotiations”, Kingdom said in a statement.

Applying an $8 billion valuation figure for Twitter used by some analysts, the investment by Alwaleed and Kingdom amounts to a 3.75-percent stake.

Twitter, which allows people to send 140-character text messages, or Tweets, to groups of so-called followers, is one of the Web’s most popular social networking services, along with Facebook and Zynga.

The company said in September that was in no hurry to undertake a hotly anticipated initial public offering. It raised $400 million in venture capital financing this summer.

It now counts more than 100 million active users who log onto the service at least once a month.

Since 2009, I bought a new brand car Infitini FX35 model 2010. The car is extremely perfect with facilities, features, design and etc. For every 5000 km, I visit the car service for regular maintenance and service for the car. As usual, every time I visit for regular service, they say you have to change the breaks and discs for the car. Since 2009 till now (2011) I’ve changed the front & back breaks and discs 6 times.

I thought to visit my family friend garage in Shuwiakh to check is the car need again to change the breaks. After the computer quick check-up and manual view the car is completely safe and the breaks has nothing to change.

Also the dealership don’t provide a warranty for these parts because they say its a manufacture mistakes. I also own another brand car (Porsche) since three years till now I haven’t even changed the breaks.

Why should I keep spending these expenses every 2-3 months around (100-200) for a car is safe and the dealership insure us to change it.

The year 2012 on the way to start. Economically, what are the consumer products/usage items were you could able to buy and get only for 1 KD. Everything getting increased year by year. Although, you could eat with 1 KD but it depends on the quality. Most of the cafes now server their coffees, drinks and foods from 1.500+.

I wrote this post, when I remembered in the past when my father give’s me 1 KD for school, which it I could eat twice in the break time and save it for the end of the day to take some ice-creams. This was not that long, but we are really facing prices crises in the market.

First remember several years behind when most of the kids, youth and adults uses these audio retailers. Still I see looks of audio retailers are opening were they have huge amount of archived cassettes. But after the technology of the internet and devices, from my point of view people stop using these retails were every is easy to get now from one button.

How could these retailers such survive when all of the people currently uses CDs, DVDs, iPods etc. Although planning changing to CD seller is a loss when everything is available online free of charge.

It was really a busy day today, wondering around with meetings. From my way out to home, visiting Kuwait City, I’ve captured this amazing shot with clear fresh weather and watching the huge towers building up. I think Kuwait will be Kuwait Commercial and Financial Center: Without Preparation.

Today morning, I was in Kuwait City. I spotted different mega advertisement screens next to the traffic lights.

I think our streets will be filled with bill-boards, screens and banners. Most of these banners are useful, but the prices are really unbelievable.

I’m waiting to see these screens, when they are active.

Update: They are advanced LED screen – got our message from Concord Outdoor.

it’s not a Mega, it is an advanced LED screen, and it will be on services soon, for more information you can check Concord Outdoor Mix Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/concord-outdoor
