LoadedWedgesThe co-founders of the restaurant welcomed us and directed us to our table. I got a set menu with the new dishes marked down, plus the a special rating card to rate / comment on each dish. For appetizers, I chose to Sesame Prawn Toast and Loaded Wedges. Sesame Prawn Toast is made of toast a prawn with some sesame added on the top. Loaded Wedges is potato wedges with some special sauce and cheese added on the top. I liked the Loaded Wedges the most. I recommend to add some chicken, beef or nuts at the top of the wedges which will taste much better.

T-BurgerFor the main dish, I chose to take Chicken Parmi and T-Burger. The Chicken Parmi is made of chicken with pesto pasta, sadly the pesto pasta sauce wasn’t that tasty. Well, the T-Burger is my master main dish. Made of toast bread, beef burger, cheese and sweet chilly sauce. It was amazing!.

ChocolateBrownieAfter five dishes, it is the time to have some dessert. I chose to have Chocolate Brownie Fudge and Roast & Toast. Both of them were delicious, but the Chocolate Brownie Fudge is the king here.

Finally, it was a wonderful night and great opportunity to taste The Gathering Bistro new menu. I rate The Gathering Bistro new menu 06/10 and food quality 08/10.

Gulf Cup 2014 started a week ago. Qualitynet Company created this TVC to motivate the Gulf Cup. Our national team (Kuwait National Team) played three matches. The last match was with Oman. The match ended with (5 Oman and 0 Kuwait). I’m sorry to see this poor effort from our team which kept us to lose the Gulf Cup 2014.

I don’t think their is any issues with our players. From analysing the match and listen to the players feedback. The main issue were with the couch and management. Hard Luck Kuwait!

DukkanBurgerBurgers Restaurants trend in Kuwait getting high. I founded new burger restaurants opened while ago. I got an invitation to review and taste the new Dukkan Burger Restaurant located in Le Royal Hotel – Gulf Rd.

Dukkan Burger offer a unique dining experience where you get to relish a fusion of true Arabian culture with the modern trend of international casual dining.

DukkanThe branch manager welcomed us and directed us to our table. Then we were served with Arabic Coffee and dates. The waiters got a  unique uniform designed with mix of traditional and casual set.

BurgerDukkanWe got our set menu. As an appetiser, I got buffalo shrimps, Dukkan Burger, South West Chicken Burger, 3 Fries and Milkshakes.

Dukkan Burger is made of seasoned seed patty, melted kashkawal cheese, sumac tossed onions, parsley, Dukkan Sauce and soft roll. The South West Chicken Burger is made of buttermilk fried chicken, american cheddar, cattlemen’s sauce, pickle, shredded iceberg, onion rings and soft roll.

All of Dukkan’s Burger food is delicious, but my favourite burger was South West Chicken Burger and their fabulous Vimto Milkshake. I rate Dukkan’s Burger food 08/10, location 09/10 and dine-in service 09/10.

ILoveNYKuwaitFrom this graffiti art, I can say 0that Kuwait host creative innovative youth in town. Yesterday morning on my way to Sharq, I saw this graffiti at “I Love NY with Kuwait Towers vector placed in the heart symbol” that attracted me. I’m still finding who done this art? and what are the main purpose of it?.

Around 3pm, I parked my car and went through the outdoor zone. In the outdoor zone, there are large screen covering up the seminar indoor, cafes, booths and information desk. The weather was amazing, so I planned to take my coffee and notepad to listen to the seminar outside. Actually, it was a great opportunity to learn from people who are experienced more in creativity field.

Things To Do In Washington DC

November 15th, 2014 | Posted by Khalil in Others | Personal | Reviews | Travel | World Life - (0 Comments)

TheWhiteHouseWashington DC is United States of America Capital State. DC formally known as the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as Washington, “the District”. I stayed a month in Washington DC and Virginia the state next to DC. I almost visited every part of DC. There are no much to do except museums, cafes and restaurants. The weather is almost wonderful. I liked the people, weather, atmosphere and culture.

madame tussaudsMadame tussauds – Washington DC brand, is the first museum I visited. Madame Tussaud’s is a wax museum founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was formerly known as “Madame Tussaud’s”; the apostrophe is no longer used. I actually, disliked the museum it doesn’t worth to pay $45 for a small museum, were every character is closed and have to pay money to take some photos.

GeorgeTownGeorge Town Market is the only popular market in Washington DC you can find luxury brands and stores in this street.

WashingtonDCChinaTownChina Town is a rush place in Washington DC. You can find china stores, restaurants, cinema and more.

I stayed one month in DC and suffered from finding Halal Restaurants/food. Virginia got many halal food stores, but I need a long journey to reach there. However, it was a lovely trip to Washington DC and I already missed DC.

Hello Kuwait!

PlaneQ8PathWoW, it was a long trip. Finally I’m back in Kuwait. I really got lots of posts to be posted on our blog and I actually need some time to be able to cover all my topics.

GoogleXPillGoogle announced their new innovation project Google X Nano Pill. This pill identifies if this person got cancer or any other diseases. Still this is under experimental stage. The pill is packed with tiny magnetic particles, which travel through a patient’s bloodstream, search for malignant cells and report their findings to a sensor on a wearable device. What I think is Google is moving to a great path.

NewYorkJust few weeks left till I return back home. I’m still in WashingtonDC, so I thought to enjoy my weekend in New York City. This is my first visit to NYC Times Square. I booked a three hours train from DC To NYC via Amtrak Rail Transportation. Actually, the train cost cheaper and faster ($280) per person.

New York is a wonderful city, but it is so busy compared to WashingtonDC. I disliked the environment in times square, but liked the activities and entertainments. Still I haven’t been to many places, but I have to get back again to NYC in future.

iPhone6Three weeks ago, I ordered through Apple Store brand new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Air 2. Suddenly, my iPhone 6 device received early and still waiting for rest. I’m willing to review my devices soon. This iPhone 6 – 128GB cost $849 around 245KD. Otherwise in Kuwait the 16GB iPhone cost 225KD were only 20KD difference between 16GB and 128GB iPhone.
