JumeriahMessilahBeachHotelLast week was our First Step In To Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa. Yesterday we were invited by Jumeriah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa  management for a bloggers night tour event. Around 7.00pm, I’ve arrived to Jumeriah Messilah Beach Hotel. We were segmented into different groups for a tour all around the hotel.

Anyway, we started with the ballrooms, then hotel rooms, hotel restaurants/cafes, hotel swimming pool and finally outdoor dinner.

JumeriahMessilahBeachBallroomAs we included recently the hotel got, 316 rooms and suites, 80 serviced apartments, 12 villas, 8 Restaurants (Garden Cafe, Olio, Mint, Salt, Pepper, Arabesque, Aqua, Tea Lounge) and more.

Through our tour we passed by different domestic areas in hotel such as:

Ballrooms: Badriya Ballroom is the largest ballroom in Kuwait. Decorated with Arabian classic theme as you see above. The ballroom can be booked as a wedding, conference, event and etc. Additionally, in the second floor of the ballroom there is an executive bridal suite, for the bride to use as a faciltity. The suite includes a full saloon tools, lounges and bed. As well the second floor has a 360 degree view for the bride to view the ballroom.

Rooms: There are more than 4 types of rooms. All rooms are fully furniture with high quality standards. Each room standards has different facilities and services.

Pepper Restaurant: One of the restaurant which I really liked as a decoration and atmosphere is Pepper Restaurant. Pepper Restaurant menu is only steaks with other additional dishes. The most really fabulous in this restaurant is the atmosphere and decoration.

Atmosphere: In overall, the hotel has a different atmosphere inside and outside. You really feel that you are not in Kuwait specially when you see the beach and swimming pool view at night.

Decoration: The decoration inside the hotel is really different compared to the other hotels locally. Everything small part of the hotel is made by hand, even the curtains are hand-drawn. The whole hotel design is mixed of classic, Arabian, Kuwaiti and Royal.

Activities: There are lots of things to do such as Spa, Tennis, Swimming and more.

Recommendations/Services/Dislike: Although the hotel is really huge and new. The entrance, security and parking area is really terrible. It took me 15 minutes waiting outside the gate waiting for the security to take in car by car. The road was totally closed and the cars are waiting to enter. The guard at the entrance informed me to park my car outside and cross the road and get into the hotel. Well, even the hotel is new they have to really fix their entrance and parking area.

JumeriahMessilahBeachHotel&SpaAt the end of our tour, we were invited to an extreme delicious BBQ dinner outdoor with an amazing view. However, the weather was really humid therefore we enjoyed the tour, outdoor dinner and gathering. We haven’t passed through the Villa’s and some of other areas in the hotel, as most of places are occupied and not ready. Jumeriah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa is still under soft-opening and will open officially in the first week of October 2013. There will be some improvements and adding up services to the hotel by end of this year.

I rate the hotel as 5 stars royal hotel 10/10 compared to other hotels locally.

I posted last week about Oud Play In AlHamra Tower. This week another Oud Play continued at AlHamra Tower, played by the Oud Player – Sami AlBader. Therefore I added up on my calendar to visit AlHamra Mall at 08.30pm. Around 08.45pm the Oud play started and I came up with these videos which I’ve recorded through my visit and enjoying the play with cup of coffee at one of AlHamra’s Cafes.

The Oud play continues also again this week on Thursday night from 08.30pm – 11.00pm. I really recommend you to attend, listen and enjoy the atmosphere.

Probably most of the people saw the videos within these days after it is spread through the social media and what’s app. I received these photos through what’s app and founded them already posted on YouTube. A Polish guy works in Hamley’s London and speaks excellent Kuwaiti, as he lived a long period here in Kuwait. I really loved his accent.

PhontoThere are lots of apps in the store for adding some text, icons, emotions, or symbols to your photo. I used the most popular apps and founded the Phonto is the best to use. What I liked from this is the options and items added are unique features.

I probably would recommend to use Phonto for any texting on photos that you would like to share on Instagram.

BlackberryQ10_ConceptKuwaitFor the old Blackberry lovers, finally Blackberry Q10 is here now in Kuwait. Today noon, I received Blackberry Q10 devices from Concept Company Kuwait (Authorized Dealer locally). I was waiting for Q10 to release in the market to view the features. BlackberryQ10By unboxing Blackberry Q10 device, the box comes with Battery, Charger, Manual Guide, Headset and Device. After reviewing the full Blackberry Q10 Device there are some points I liked and disliked such as:

Liked:

  • Exterior Design
  • Keypad
  • Touch Screen
  • Operating System (Totally improved, unique and simple)
  • Way of holding the device in hands
  • Applications
  • Both front and back Camera

Disliked:

  • Screen could be bit bigger
  • Operating System: The way of exiting and return back to home (It’s really difficult and hard. Prefer if there is a home button to exit directly).
  • Device top sensor to stay stand-up.

Finally, the device is totally useful for Blackberry lovers, people love to text/chat, businessmen and students. BBM Expands To iOS & Android so don’t hesitate to re-change your device again to Blackberry. All Social Media apps is available and additional apps from Blackberry World.

StarbucksMarinaMallMarina Mall Starbucks was under construction for renovation.  Last night, we were invited to visit Starbucks Marina Mall branch for grand opening. The branch has renovated completely with a wide bigger area. It changed to a classic and modern style with a reception and coffee bar in the centre and open area. It looks like the same new Starbucks branches as Grand Avenues.

Furthermore, the decoration changed also to Arabian Kuwaiti style theme which you can see in the images below.

StarbucksJazzNightAlthough the grand opening night began with a musical jazz night by group of couples. I just would like to raise my hand up and say I loved the atmosphere and decoration of this branch and rate it as 09/10.

On my way to the exit the cafe, I founded Bazaar’s Magazine with impressed notion cover page of MonaLisa. I don’t really know what this issue cover defines, however I really liked it, as it is a solid eye catchy photo attracts us more to grab the magazine.
